2009 MWB Boutique
The kids are in school, the temperature is dropping and it's time to think about what you can make for the fund-raising boutique. Donations are now being accepted (click here for drop off locations). We would like to have them all in by October 20th to allow us time to price and get them ready for the big event. We know this year will be bigger and better than ever. The word is spreading. Come and be a part of this tidal wave of caring. It is good medicine for the soul.

Our 4th Annual Fund-raising Boutique will be held this year on November 6th and 7th at the Chantilly Mansion in Layton, Utah. The boutique has raised thousands of dollars for the orphans of Zambia. This 2 day event features handmade items that are donated as well as beautiful treasures made by the orphans, vulnerable women, and craftsman of Zambia.

We are pleased to announce a 2nd Boutique that will be held on November 6th and 7th at the Mellor Hidden Meadows Reception Center in Lehi, Utah to better serve our friends in South Salt Lake and Utah Counties.
As always, we invite you to be an active participant of this extraordinary event by making and donating handmade items. These unique Boutiques can provide a way for all who desire a chance to change the life of a child. We receive hundreds of emails from kind-hearted people who continually ask, "How Can I Help?". We thank you for that spirit of charity. YOU are the reason this continues to be a success. Here is your answer:
While we gratefully accept any handmade item you desire to donate, experience tells us that the following items are the most popular:
- Thanksgiving and Christmas Decor Items
- Home decor items - including the popular vinyl lettering trend
- Unique toys - we love sock monkeys, wooden cars, blocks, animals, dolls (we never have enough dolls!), quiet books and doll clothes
- Jewelry
- Childrens hair bows
- handbags
- family picture magnetic boards
- trendy knitted scarves and hats
- quilts
Many contributors wander the aisles of their favorite craft store for new and exciting ideas. The fresher the idea, the better.
We encourage you to donate what you can and not a bit more. Our goal is to eliminate hardship, not create it. Single item donations are as needed as donations made in bulk. All it takes is for everyone to do a little. EVERY THING YOU DO MATTERS! We hope you have fun as you share your talents. Spread the word to your family, friends, co-workers and church congregations. Everyone deserves the chance to be a part of something wonderful.
Thank you for all you do in behalf of these children. You are blessing their lives in a very real way!
