Our local staff in Zambia works closely with community leaders to stay apprised of growing needs in the area, primarily focusing on orphaned and vulnerable children. Though our reach is necessarily limited by our means, Mothers Without Borders works with local communities to track and assess problems before they become crises. So, as our staff interacts with the local community, they are often told of particular families who are on the brink of losing their homes or starving. Being aware of the problems early allows MWB to intervene with either direct aid, or by alerting authorities to a growing situation. In this way we stay connected to the communities around us, and expand our reach.
