Our local staff in Zambia works closely with community leaders to stay aware of growing needs in the area, primarily focusing on orphaned and vulnerable children. Though our reach is limited by our means, Mothers Without Borders works with local communities to track and assess problems before they become crises.
As our staff interacts with the local community, they are often told of particular families who are on the brink of losing their homes or starving. Being aware of the problems early allows MWB to intervene with either direct aid, or by alerting authorities to a growing situation. We have built homes, helped families start businesses, and provided for more immediate needs as well.
